This project involved renovations and an addition to the existing high school to house grades 9-12. The original building size was 293,479 square feet, and the addition of a new, three-story wing is an additional 132,000 square feet to Thomas Worthington High School.

The construction for this project was divided into three phases. Phase one consisted of construction to the academic areas and was completed in 2024-2025. Phase two consisted of construction to the administration offices and was completed in November 2025. The next and final phase (three) of this project is underway. Phase three consists of construction to the Art/Music Area/Auditorium, new baseball/softball fields, and new auxiliary gym is anticipated to be completed by September 2026.

RDFA’s role was to provide the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection design services for this project, including limited construction phase services to review MEP/FS construction.

Notable engineering features of this Project: Renovation and addition were performed in phases while the school was occupied.
